This project portrays the daily life of the village of Chazuta, near Tarapoto, in the Peruvian high jungle. Known as the land of friendship for its welcoming nature, the locals are mainly dedicated to pottery and agriculture. Like many other villages in the Amazon, life revolves around a river, in this case the Huallaga River. The photographs show different scenes of a January day, from a meeting in the village's central square to children playing in the river and jumping off a bridge. This project aims to show in a natural and close-up way life in a village in the Amazon and more specifically the fun and games of children who enjoy their most precious asset, the river.
